In Our Backyards...

Eco Stories

I'm really excited to share some of the environmental stories I have unearthed in our community, “in our backyards”.

Over the next few months I will be sharing the stories of: a family who are going permaculture crazy, a farmer who's growing organic veggies on 1/4 acre of land, a kids' outdoor education and nature appreciation program, a local business that is encouraging the switch away from plastic and a woman who is getting her shoe fixed.

Who knows where the stories will go from there!  I will be telling one story each month. This will give you a chance to appreciate and contemplate it (like a good wine- take your time).  And, let's be honest, this will give you the time to squeeze these stories into your busy schedule. I know life is hectic and all you need is one more thing to do.

But reading these stories will be worth it: they will be entertaining, educational and leave you with a warm fuzzy “I can do something too!” feeling inside.

Let's celebrate positive environmental actions, both big and small.
